The answer is….
Not very well.
Leave it to the pros may be the best advice.
Thanks to buzzfeed for producing the video and Swimoutlet.com (a SwimSwam partner) for providing the competitive swimsuits for this fun little narrative.
We know it hurts to see regular people — aka non-swimmers — actually cut-up these high-end racing suits to get them on, but it makes a great point. These suits are for serious swimmers with special skill and knowledge in the ways of putting-on-the-skins.
NOTE: BuzzFeed’s next video should be Katie Ledecky and Michael Phelps providing pro pointers on how to shimmy into these suits and race with them on.
It’s worth. I have 2 TYR Avictor jammers here and it’s very easy to put on. But for competitive, i think i must try the smaller size.
LOL. In age group swimming, a lot of mommies do help the girls. I’m glad I have a boy. But yeah, ouch on the ripping and cutting.
Ouch, that hurts. My son needs a new suit and I don’t have the $400.00.
Just ask buzzfeed . They might have few extra 🙂
Speedo used to say if you can get your suit on in under 10-15 minutes it was too big. And it’s called “compression” fabric for a reason
Arena’s tech suits are probably the hardest to get on, in my experience and from hearing my swimmers talk. I love them to death because of the great compression, but man, those can be tricky to put on even for experienced swimmers. I would not buy an Arena as a first tech suit, and Buzzfeed gave one to a non-swimmer… Doomed from the start.
I have tried almost all kinds of tech suits, and I can tell that the speedo lzr racer X is worse than the arena suits 😛
Not the carbon ultra
Wow I didn’t think I could hate buzzfeed any more
WHERE DID THEY GET THE MONEY.
Buzz feed is a relatively well off company
I cried when they cut the suits, especially the lzr x.
Yes, but by the point they cut the suits off they had already ripped them.
