Adidas Brings The A-Station to Omaha

Omaha, 25  June 2016 – Adidas will showcase its innovative a-station concept in North America for the first time as Omaha plays host to the US Olympic Swimming Trials.

The a-station concept, previously seen in Berlin and London, is a unique space for athletes, coaches, media and swim fans alike, which presents the latest in innovation and high performance technologies from the world’s leading sports brand.

The a-station is located only short walk from the CenturyLink Center, where the U.S. Olympic trials are to be held.

Also on display will be the now legendary cutting-edge adidas AdiZero XVI: the fastest swimsuit in the world, designed using body scanning technology involving hundreds of top-tier athletes from around the world. The creator of adidas’s most technologically advanced swimsuit, Deborah Yeomans, will be on hand to answer questions about the swimsuit, which will be worn by U.S. athletes vying for a place at this year’s Olympic and Paralympic Games, such as Michael Andrew and Allison Schmitt.

Christine Barth-Darkow, Category Director Swim, said, “At adidas we are committed to pushing the boundaries of performance at the top level of sport, yet we are equally dedicated to providing an inclusive and open space for all. Initiatives like the a-station concept bring us together under one roof and foster unity.”

Swim fans from around the world can follow events on @adidas_swim on Instagram and Twitter, and join the conversation with #TakeTheLane.

Invite Only Party –  9pm-12:30am, July 1st

The multi-purpose a-station will also play host to an exclusive invite only party for the creators of swim. To secure an invite to the party, the public are invited to post a tweet or Instagram selfie of themselves in any adidas swimming apparel with the hashtag #TakeTheLane. This competition is only open to people in Omaha.
