Hawkeyes Pick Up Versatile California Talent, Michael Tenney, For 2016

Michael Tenney, currently a senior at Chino Hills High School, has made a commitment to the University of Iowa Hawkeyes for the 2016-17 season. At the recent CIF State meet, Tenney achieved lifetime-best times in the 200 free and 500 free. He went 1:39.00 in the 200 for seventh place, taking 1.7 seconds off his best time. In the 500, Tenney finished fourth with 4:28.65 after having dropped 2.8 seconds from his previous PB in prelims (4:27.17).

Tenney also swims for Brea Aquatics. He is a versatile swimmer who can add value in any number of areas. He has achieved national time standards in mid-distance freestyle, 200 back, 200 fly and 400 IM, and his best times include:
