Tennessee Volunteers Kick Off SECs With Speed (Video Recap)

The 2016 SEC Championships kicked off yesterday with action sure to be just the tip of the iceberg for what’s in store over the 5-day affair. After Day 1, the Tennessee Volunteer women find themselves in first place, tied with Kentucky with 154 points.

A team highlight came in the form of the women’s 200 medley relay final, where the Volunteer women came out on top with a stellar 1:35.86, their best of the season. In the closely contested battle, senior Faith Johnson scorched a 21.65 anchor to pull out the win and give Tennessee its 5th victory in the event over the last 7 years.
