Insider Training: Club Wolverine Elite Video Analysis

“It’s not every four years, it’s every day” is the motto the members of Club Wolverine Elite live and breathe, especially now less than 6 months out from the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

And how are the Ann Arbor-based athletes getting better today? Via coach and peer review of underwater footage filmed while elite swimmers such as Trinidad & Tobago’s George Bovell, Spain’s Miguel Ortiz and Japan’s Junya Koga do their thing in the pool at Canham Natatorium.

As Bovell explains, “often times there’s a big difference between how you feel you look and what you actually look like. Video is crucial to be able to see objectively what you’re actually doing.”

Thanks to CWE swimmer/Canadian National Teamer Hassaan Abdel Khalik for a glimpse into the pro group’s Olympic preparations.
