Lingle, a sophomore from Roanoke, Va., won three times individually in Emory & Henry’s quad-meet victories over Greensboro (217-32), Ferrum (222-28) and Randolph-Macon (186-76). Lingle stopped the watches first in the 100-yard freestyle in 0:54.84 and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:00.75, with both times ranking inside of the ODAC’s top five marks. She also won the 200-yard individual medley by 6.72-seconds in 2:18.62, her best time in the event of the season. Lingle helped her teammates win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:54.22.
Emily Townsend, Bridgewater (Sr. – Multi)
Townsend helped Bridgewater to two separate dual meet wins over Sweet Briar (180-62) and Notre Dame (67-24) by winning 6-of-7 individual events competed in three different disciplines. Versus SBC, she won the 100-fly (1:05.33) and 200-free (2:09.59). She was also second in an exhibition heat of the 100-breaststroke (1:13.28). Against Notre Dame, Townsend won the 100-breaststroke (1:23.48), 100-free (1:04.94) and 100-fly (1:11.31).
Claire Webber, Hollins (Sr. – Multi)
Webber broke school records in both of her individual event wins in HU’s tri-meet with Guilford and Notre Dame. She snapped the HU 100-IM record by 7.59-seconds with a swim of 1:04.19. She then broke her own 200-breastroke record by 2.49-seconds in 2:31.71. Webber helped Hollins win the 200-medley relay in 2:03.51.
Kata Kylliainen, Randolph-Macon (Fr. – Free/Fly)
Killiainen won twice, posted a third place finish and helped R-MC to second in a relay as the Yellow Jackets defeated Greensboro (211-37) and Ferrum (221-30) and fell to Emory & Henry (186-76) in a quad meet. Kylliainen won the 1000-free in 11:12.72 and 500-free in 5:27.09. She finished third in the 200-fly in 2:21.76. The R-mC 200-medley relay team was second in 2:00.14.
Emily Rollo, Washington and Lee (Jr. – Back)
Rollo set a pair of individual pool records and helped the Generals to a relay pool record in a home meet win over VMI. Rollo won the 100-back in 0:59.11 and the 200-back in 2:08.65, both of which sit inside the top-five posted times in the ODAC this season. She helped W&L to a win the 200-medley relay in 1:49.92.
