This season marks the NCAA Division I LIU Brooklyn’s inaugural year of women’s swimming, and they are having a great time. Led by coach Tiffany Clay, they are 6-1 in duals so far this season, and their single loss was by just one point to Seina College on November 11th. Later that month, they came back to beat Seina at the Manhattan/Seina/Monmouth triple dual.
The team finished off their first semester of competition at the MIT Winter Invite, where they scored fourth overall in the team rankings. Their highest individual finishes came from Nathalie Meyers, who swam 2:07.58 for fifth in the 200 back; Katelyn Coleman, who swam 52.25 for sixth in the 100 free; and Milly Furneaux, who went 2:22.33 in the 200 breaststroke. There, the team also finished fourth in the both the 200 medley and the 400 free relays.
