The University of Indianapolis recently received an NLI from Sectional Finalist and NCSA Junior National Qualifier Danielle Wood. Wood currently trains for Jeff Skeels with the Academy Bullets in Springfield, Illinois. Danielle’s versatility will be a major factor in the Greyhounds’ efforts in the Great Lakes Valley Conference as at least five of her best events would land her deep in the A final based on 2015 results.
Danielle plans to pursue a master’s degree in Athletic Training while at UINDY. Her father, Grant Wood, swam from 1986-1990 at North Central College in Naperville, IL. He earned several All-America honors, qualified for NCAA’s, and still holds several school records.
“I chose UINDY because of their academic excellence in the field of Athletic Training and the awesome opportunities for clinicals and internships available to me in Indianapolis. I really connected with Jason Hite and feel like he is going to push me to excel and achieve the goals I have set for myself both academically and athletically.”
