Sherridon Dressel of Bolles School Sharks has added her name to the impressive list of swimmers and divers signing NLIs with the University of Florida for 2016-17. Dressel hails from Green Cove Springs, Florida, as does current Gator sophomore Caeleb Dressel (who will hereafter be known in Gainesville as “Sherridon’s older brother”).
Dressel is coming off her final high school season at Clay High School. At the FHSAA Division 2A Championships in November, Dressel won both the 100 fly and 100 back. Her 54.04 in the 100 fly was only .21 off the Florida state record, while her 54.90 in the 100 back put her two body lengths ahead of the second-fastest competitor. Dressel also led off both Clay’s 200 free relay (23.24) and 400 free relay (50.95). As a junior she was runner-up in both the 100 back and 100 free.
Her top times are:
SCY | LCM | |
50 free | 23.07 | 26.60 |
100 free | 50.95 | 57.67 |
50 back | 25:81 | 30.51 |
100 back | 54.63 | 1:04.24 |
200 back | 2:01.77 | 2:20.35 |
100 fly | 54.04 | 1:03.93 |
