Ian Thorpe Wants To Have A Barbecue At Chad Le Clos’ House

While Chad Le Clos has been in the news lately for getting all up in Michael Phelps’ grill, it appears that his grill might be busy in the near future.

Former Australian swimming superstar Ian Thorpe told news24 that he would like to go over to Le Clos’ house for a barbecue.

This comment came after Thorpe, who is currently in Cape Town, South Africa speaking at the annual World Sports Values Summit for Peace and Development, went on to say that Chad Le Clos is one of his favorite swimmers.

“Chad’s one of my favorite swimmers to watch,” Thorpe said. “At the London Olympics I thought his father was fantastic as well…I just want to go to his house and have a barbecue”

Le Clos got the message and reached out to Thorpe on Twitter.

Le Clos tweeted, “You’re welcome any time @IanThorpe! When you coming to Durban?”

Thorpe, who hasn’t tweeted in over a year, hasn’t reached back yet via Twitter to accept Le Clos’ invitation.

The event Thorpe was speaking at ended Nov. 3 in Cape Town, so there’s no news as to whether or not Thorpe is still in South Africa.

If he is and accepts Le Clos’ invite, Le Clos will need to bring the heat, this time not just in the pool.

I’m sensing a theme here. Might as well invite Milorad Cavic and Alain Bernard while they’re at it?
