“I chose Pacific because of the great combination of athletics and academics. The coaching staff is incredible and the team is like family. I can’t wait to be a tiger”
Erin Oliphant has verbally committed to swim for Coach Peter Richardson at the University of the Pacific. Oliphant, who lives in Northbrook, Illinois, trains with Glenbrook Aquatics under Head Senior Coach Rob Bond. She has been a Summer LCM Junior National qualifier as well as an IHSA State meet finalist. Her best breaststroke and IM times should immediately put her in position to score at the MPSF finals for the Tigers as a freshman.
A senior at Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, Oliphant decided not to swim high school as a senior to focus on the 200 breaststroke and 400 IM. Her best times are:
SCY | LCM | |
100 breast | 1:04.50 | 1:13.91 |
200 breast | 2:20.85 | 2:37.07 |
200 IM | 2:06.70 | 2:24.75 |
400 IM | 4:30.26 | 5:07.06 |
Coach Bond shared with SwimSwam that Oliphant “has overcome missing most of the 2014 calendar year due to illness and surgeries to get back on track this year. She posted best times in almost all of her main LCM events this summer at Futures and is training better than ever. Coach Richardson is getting a very motivated young lady who is ready to push herself to the next level and contribute to the Tigers team.”
