Wagner College, part of the Northeast Conference (NEC), has received a verbal commitment from Somerset Valley YMCA’s Jenna D’Allegro. This is their first commitment that we’ve reported on this year. D’Allegro is primarily a breaststroker, but is also strong in distance free.
officially a Seahawk!! Wagner Swimming class of 2020💚💚 #GoHawks

D’Allegro’s Top Times
- 100y breast – 1:07.30
- 200y breast – 2:23.47
- 1000y free – 10:38.54
- 1650y free – 17:57.02
- 100m breast – 1:18.71
- 200m breast – 2:48.53
D’Allegro would’ve easily made the 100 breast and 200 breast B finals at last year’s NEC Championships, but would have been on the cusp of sneaking into the A final in the 200. Additionally, she would have placed 14th in the mile, good enough for a few points in that event.
Wagner finished 2nd at last year’s NEC Championships to Central Connecticut State. As they fight to get back on top, D’Allegro will offer scoring potential on an individual level, and possibly provide a medley relay option should she continue to improve in the breaststroke.
