MEN’S 100 FLY
There was a lot of hype surrounding Michael Phelps‘ swim this evening after Chad Le Clos won the World Championship title in the same event today with a time of 50.56. After his race, Le Clos called out Phelps saying his time was faster than Phelps has been in the last four years, so he can keep his mouth shut now.
Michael Phelps responded with a world best 50.45, beating the time of the World Champion, Chad le Clos. Here is what Phelps had to say about Le Clos:
I saw the times, I saw the comments. There are a lot of things I could say, but I won’t. I let what I what I do in the pool do all of my talking, and that’s how I’ve always done things. From a standpoint of what anybody else says, that’s their own business. You can keep saying anything, I don’t mind it, but you won’t get a rise out of me.

If USA swimming could post the men’s 100 fly A-Final on its youtube channel, it would be very nice. Thanks.
That’s the only final they haven’t posted yet! Are you serious? 🙄
NB: if you could also add a clock on the screen during the races, it would be very nice too.
NB: thanks for the free live webcast on behalf of all the viewers from the entire planet.

thanks BOBO ! Excellent race ! he really has more power on the 50 than before ! He seems to get more muscular as well .
And other correction. English correction this time.
tired of the recent turn of events
take some inner distance which comments that make u re-act ! that’s all ! enjoy the rest
Correction. I’ve written new 15/16 NAG record for Michael Andrew in the 50 free.
I had forgotten his 22.34 from US juniors. 22.37 isn’t a new NAG record.
Still an impressive time just after swimming a 100 fly.
Me too, but I have the utmost respect for Lochte so if it’s not Phelps then I can rest well knowing it’s Lochte.
