LOS ANGELES (July 1, 2015) – Universal Sports Network announced today a new, multi-year distribution agreement with Suddenlink, the seventh largest cable distributor in the U.S.
The deal gives Suddenlink the rights to distribute Universal Sports’ exclusive Olympic, endurance and action sports programming in HD, access to VOD content and comprehensive TV Everywhere rights.
Suddenlink will roll out Universal Sports Network in HD as part of its new Sports Plus tier Wednesday, July 1.
“Suddenlink TV customers will benefit immediately from this latest multi-year distribution agreement,” said Scott Brown, President of Universal Sports Network. “We look forward to serving their customers with a wide variety of sports and world-class events not available elsewhere including our summer programming slate of World Championships and this fall’s Rugby World Cup.”
”Universal Sports Network helps us further round out our sports entertainment programming with its unique blend of Olympic-related sports coverage,” said Suddenlink Senior Vice President and Chief Programming Officer Kathy Payne.
