Hugh Anderson of Mary Washington has brought down his own National record. This morning in prelims in the CISD Nat in Shenandoah, Texas Anderson posted a come-from-behind victory to crack the 3:49.25 he set last year in finals at the NCAA meet. Anderson’s final time was a 3:48.50, finishing with a very strong final 50: 25.19.
Harrison Curley of Kenyon also tied Anderson’s old National record with a 3:49.25 of his own. The race should be on tonight, and one might expect it’ll take another NCAA record to win.
Anderson’s splits:
- 50.80
- 57.60
- 1:06.63
- 54.41
