Abby Artmann

Abby Artmann:

Abby was born in Nashville, Tennessee, but grew up in Cedar Park, Texas where she started swimming. Abby was home schooled before coming to Duke, but had great success swimming for both Nitro Swimming and Austin Swim Club during her high school career before coming to Duke.

Club:

Abby swam for two club teams growing up: Nitro Swimming where she swam for Tim O’brien, and Austin Swim Club with Todd Foley. During her club career, Abby qualified for Junior Nationals and World Championship Trials. During her junior year of high school, Abby was sixth in the 200 breast and seventh in the 100 breast at Junior Nationals (courtesy of goduke.com).

Personal:

Abby is a part of the pre-medicine program at Duke, and she plans to attend medical school after college, aspiring to work in psychiatry one day.
