Tessa Cady
Background
Tessa was born in 1993 to Chris and Marietta Cady and has always had a love for the water. She began swim lessons at a young age and began to swim competitively at age 11. Tessa went on to swim for a number of different teams.
High School
Tessa was a three time all conference swimming throughout her high school career and a five time letter winner. She also earned MVP honors her junior and senior of competition. As a senior captain, Tessa placed third at section finals in both the 50 and 100 freestyle.
College
2011-2012
As a freshman, Tessa placed 9th in the 200 freestyle at the UW Stevens Point Invite. She also went to swim collegiate best times at their final meet of the season, the Minnesota Challenge, in the 50 (25.79) and 200 free (2:01.92).
2012-2013
Tessa placed 4th in the 200 free at the dual against UW Eau Clare. She also swam best times in the 100 free and 100 backstroke at the mid-season invite at Rochester.
2013-2014
Tessa’s junior of college swimming was her stand out season. She was awarded the team’s Hardest Worker and also received the Coaches Award. This followed her 15th place finish in the 50 free and 12th place in the 200 free. She was also part of the 200 freestyle relay that placed third in the conference.
2014-2015
In her senior year, Tessa was a part of the school record breaking 800 free relay. She also placed 14th in the 200 free and 16th in the 100 back while posting collegiate best times at the conference meet.
