The Scottish Gas Short Course National Championships saw its share of records get rewritten, as athletes competed at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh December 12-14th. Below are sound bites from a few of the notable swimmers who made their mark over the weekend.
Scottish breaststroker, Scott Quin, set a new World Record for the men’s 100m breaststroke in the S14 class, clocking a time of 1:06.92. Here he speaks about feeling relaxed in the race and acknowledges expectations and pressure as a rising star.
Scottish youngster, Erraid Davies, discusses getting acclimated to the crowds at big meets, as she swam her way to a new British record in the women’s 200m breaststroke SB9 class in a time of 2:51.35

Corrie Scott earned first place in the women’s 50m breaststroke in a time of 30.71, which is a new Scottish record. Scott expresses her happiness in improving in short course and her recent experience with “short” yards.
