According to his facebook page, collegeswimming.com’s #4 ranked recruit, Tom Kremer, has committed to swim at Stanford next fall.

The trip won’t be a long one for Kremer, who used to swim for Palo Alto – Stanford Aquatics, but most recently has trained with PEAK Swimming, which is located about 30 minutes south. The club change isn’t the only one Kremer has made recently, as he’s declared his sporting citizenship to be Israel, for whom he earned a bronze medal at the 2011 European Junior Championships in the 200 fly.

His biggest achievement as a youth swimmer is his 13-14 National Age Group Record in the 200 LCM freestyle (1:53.62).

This is another huge recruit to add to the big group that Stanford brought in last year. Kremer is a great freestyler (44.8/1:36.4), backstroker (48.5/1:47.9), and butterflier (48.6/1:46.8). Thus far, that ranks him as the top 200 freestyler in the class, and in the top 5 in several of the other events.

His versatility also leads to great IM times, with bests of 1:48.3/3:54.0, which is something that the Cardinal have become very fond of the past two years.

Most of the top women’s recruits have already made their decisions, but the men have been much slower to react. As signing day draws near, expect for more of the top males (like Jacob Pebley and Gray Umbach) to come off of the board.
