MEET NOTES: Texas A&M hosts Rice

The following is a press release courtesy of Texas A&M University:

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The top-ranked Texas A&M women’s swimming and diving team will host former conference rival Rice in a 1 p.m. dual meet on Saturday at the Student Recreation Natatorium.

The Aggies are undefeated in dual meet action with a 4-0 worksheet, and are coming off a strong performance at their fall invitational meet, the Art Adamson Invitational two weeks ago. The Aggies ran away from the Adamson field, which included No. 3 Stanford, No. 21 LSU and No. 22, on their way to a team victory, which produced a pair of Southeastern Conference weekly award winners.

Being honored by the SEC for their performance at the Adamson were senior Sarah Henry (Swimmer of the Week) and freshman Bethany Galat (Freshman of the Week). During the three-day meet, the Aggies racked up seven individual victories and over 60 NCAA qualifying cuts in the evening finals alone.

Admission is free and live results can be found at:
