Brown University received a commitment* from Charlotte Rosenberg, who swims for Chicago Wolfpack Aquatic Club and The Latin School of Chicago, for the 2015-16 season.
Rosenberg is strong in a fairly wide range of events, but her best results have come in the 200 IM and 200 free. At last weekend’s Illinois High School Girls State Championships, she placed eighth in the 200 IM and 12th in the 100 fly. Rosenberg’s top times include:
200y IM: 2:04.84 200m IM: 2:23.86
100y free: 51.77 100m free: 58.95
200y free: 1:50.89 200m free: 2:06.44
500y free: 4:57.52 400m free: 4:29.19
Rosenberg will be a nice addition to the Brown roster. Not only will she shore up their relays, but she would have scored for Brown at last year’s Ivy League Championships in a number of events. She would have been a C-finalist in the 200 IM and 200/500 free, and a B-finalist in the 100 free.
Rosenberg brings international experience to the Bears; she competed at the Maccabiah Games in 2013.

*DISCLAIMER: Rosenberg has not yet been officially accepted to Brown. As is true with all Ivy League schools, Brown’s Admission Office will not send its acceptance letter until the beginning of December, along with those of all Early Decision candidates. The procedure for a recruited athlete like Rosenberg is for Admissions to review her transcript and SAT scores, “support (her) application for admissions in the fall,” issue a Likely Letter, then offer her acceptance into the class of 2019.
