Nebraska-Omaha Gets Commitment From Gillian Schwartz

Gillian Schwartz of Northland United swim team in Kansas City and Olathe Northwest High School, will be a Maverick next year after committing to Nebraska Omaha.

A freestyler and butterflyer, Schwartz will have some development to do before she makes an impact for the Mavericks. She does have a year of high school left, however.

Her best 100 fly time is 1:03.38, which would have been 24th at the Summit League Conference meet last year. Her best 200 freestyle time is 2:05.14, which would have been 26th at the conference meet last year, and her best 500 freestyle is 5:34.68, which would have been 30th.

Schwartz best 50 free time is 26.99, good for 31st in the conference . Her best 100 free time is 56.98, good for 29th at last season’s meet.

Some of Schwartz’s other time’s include:

  • 100 back: 1:08.86
  • 200 fly: 2:30.32
  • 200 IM: 2:28.42
