Nathaniel Bledsoe, who swims for the Carmel Swim Club in Indiana, has made a verbal commitment to swim for Penn State. He told SwimSwam, “I feel Penn State will offer me a great education. I also enjoyed the coaching staff and team during my visit. I feel the coaching staff will be able to improve my swimming.”
Bledsoe is a versatile and talented IMer with national-level times in IM, breast, fly, and back. Bledsoe swam for Westfield High School at the 2014 Indiana High School Boys Swimming/Diving Championships where he placed 13th in the 200 IM and 12th in the 100 fly. He also led off Westfield’s 200 medley relay and anchored the 200 free relay. In long course season he swam the 100/200 back and 200/400 IM at Speedo Junior Nationals.

Bledsoe has a little way to go before he can score for the Nittany Lions at B1G Championships but he shows a lot of promise after having had some big drops in his top events in LCM season. He will join fellow commits John Om, Robbie Dickson, Sam Petrini, Sterg Dikos in the class of 2019.
