Swim Job: Texas Terrapins Swim Team seeks Age Group Swim Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION

Texas Terrapins SwimAge Group coach to coach 7-11 year old swimmers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Practices Monday – Fridays – 2.5 hrs per evening; and some Sat. mornings
-Swim Meets 1-2 per month
-meet entries
-coaches meetings
-performance tracking
-communicate with parents
– Will work in conjunction with head coach and other staff to develop character building, goal setting, and both physical and mental training techniques
– administrative duties will be assigned per the Head Coach.

REQUIREMENTS

-The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of positive interactions with swimmers, parents, and coworkers
-ability to attracting and retaining swimmers.
– Proficiency Team Unify, Meet Manager, and general office skills
-Preferred 2 years previous competitive coaching experience
-Candidates must possess current USA Swimming coach certifications in good standing and pass all required background checks.
-College degree preferred.

TTST is located in Cypress Texas and operates out of 2 pools – 1 indoor 8 lane plus 5 lane facility for the age group team, and 1 outdoor 6 lane pool for the senior level swimmers, and a 50 meter 8 lane pool during long course season. TTST is celebrating its 10th season in existence and has made great strides not only in growth and performance at all levels, but most importantly, developing high character in young swimmers.
