Alarii Levreault-Lopez, who swims out of Canton, Georgia with Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club, has made a verbal commitment to the Louisiana State University class of 2019.
Levreault-Lopez is a national-level butterflier/IMer who won the Georgia state championship in the 400y IM in 2013 with 4:00.45. His best short course times include:
200y fly: 1:49.10
100y fly: 50.12
400y IM: 4:00.45
200y free: 1:42.06
500y free: 4:35.59
1000y free: 9:31.16
200y back: 1:52.80
In long course season, Levreault-Lopez dropped almost 7 seconds in his 400m IM (4:32.88), 1.4 seconds in the 100 fly (56.90), and a second in the 200 fly (2:04.30).
Levreault-Lopez shared with SwimSwam that at his first short course meet this season, he felt really good, especially in the 200 IM and 200 fly. In the IM he went a personal best (1:57.60) and his 200 fly time was only 1.7 off his best, and 4.5 better than at the same meet last year.
Levreault-Lopez is a nice piece who fits well into the incoming freshman class that LSU is putting together. They’ve covered sprint free/back (Alex Carson), 2back/2IM/2free (Thomas Smith), and sprint/mid-distance freestyle (Tyler Harper). All that’s missing is breast and distance free.
He is SOOO cute!
