RACE VIDEO: Kevin Cordes Breaks U.S. Open Record in 200 Meter Breaststroke

Watch above as Kevin Cordes breaks the U.S. Open Record, which means the fastest time ever swum on American soil, in the 200 long course meter breaststroke on Thursday morning at the 2014 U.S. National Championships.

Cordes, who is one of the longest gliders in the sport, counted out 11 – 13 – 15 – 18 for stroke count by 50. Cordes’ height helps him, and he’s one of the longest breaststrokers in the world underwater, but his bottom-half power is off-the-charts.
