USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, Ryley Ober, a junior at Bayshore High School in Bradenton, Florida, has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Indiana University beginning in the fall of 2019. She will join Ashley Turak and our very first class of 2023 verbal commit, Emily Weiss, in Bloomington.

Ober won the 100 free (50.39) and 200 free (1:47.25) at the 2017 Florida FHSAA Class 2A Championship in November, repeating her state title in the 200. She also won the 500 free in 2016. As a freshman in 2015 she placed second in the 200 free and third in the 100 back. In December, swimming at Winter Juniors East for her club team Sarasota Tsunami Swim Team, she finished fifth in the 200 free and lowered her PB to 1:47.16. Ober also competed in the 500 free, 100 back, and 200 back.
Ober has been just as successful in long course meters, where she has been 57.31 in the 100 free, 2:02.64 in the 200 free, 4:18.25 in the 400 free, and 2:17.31 in the 200 back.
