After recording a personal best in the 100 Breast prelims (1:08.43) and qualifying for the semi-finals, 46-year-old Gabrielle Rose recorded another personal best (1:08.32) in the semi-finals, finishing 11th overall. After the race, Rose gave gratitude to all those who have supported her from near and far, thanking her coach, her family, and the club team she coaches.
Not so sure about this. Looks to be a bit aided.
It’s got to be interesting to be swimming at Trials and the person next to you is 1. old enough to be your mom, 2. in better shape than you physically, and 3. kicks your butt!
She is one badass human! Love it.
If I can walk to the fridge and back in 1:08, I would be thrilled with that
I know it’s still early but this is easily one of the top swim of the meets so far.
Such an awesome story. And we hang two others with a D3 dude and a hockey player. I love hearing them
it’s crazy that the last time she was at the Olympics was more than half of her life ago. She wasn’t even 23 yet at her second Olympic Games
Hard to understand the interviewer’s questions.
He said he spoke with Matthew… it seems her father has passed away… so for her to have these great swims on Father’s Day… knowing that her father would be so proud of her and loving all of it.
