We’ve waited for long enough – a year longer than we thought we would. And now it’s finally time for the big show of American swimming: the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials.

SS’s picks for the women look good. With Baker’s foot injury, Walsh might grab the 2nd spot in the 2IM.

For the men:
2nd spot in the 1BR goes to Wilson (50%) McHugh (40%) or Miller (10%)
2BR is a hot mess. I guess those picks area as good as any.
I suspect Urlando’s shoulder is worse than advertised. If the makes the team, it is in the #2 slot, but I don’t think he makes it.
I hope the 100FL goes as SS predicts, and I hope Michael Andrew does NOT swim it. Yes, he has a fast 100 fly. Yes, he has a legitimate chance to place top 2, but the chance, while legit,… Read more »

Who will the 4 be for the US?
Australia, Canada and Great Britain all have good lineups.

Do you have an insight the rest of us are missing in the Huske/Curzan matchups. You folks pick Huske ahead of Claire in both 100s, though my recollection is that in head to heads, Curzan came out on top, at least in the fly.
