2019 U.S. Nationals: Intense Day 3 Photo Vault

2019 US NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Day 3 of the 2019 US National Championships at the Avery Aquatics Center at Stanford University saw some FANTASTIC races and unexpected times. We saw Emma Weyant capture a Gold medal in the 400 IM, posting a US leading time for the year. We also saw Carson Foster and Bobby Finke battle it out down the stretch in the 400 IM, with Bobby Finke narrowly getting the edge over Carson. However, Carson still earned the Junior World Record time with that swim, breaking the elusive Sean Grieshop’s old record, who was swimming next to him. Did you miss these swims? Luckily, SwimSwam’s Jack Spitser was on deck to capture the tenacity, drama and excitement of the third day of racing.
