Now that pretty much all teams will have completed their mid-season tapers, let’s check in on the Swimulator’s top 25 rankings for division III NCAA swimming. On both the Men’s and Women’s side, the top rankings were dominated by Kenyon, Emory, Denison, and schools from the UAA. Since the rankings are strongly driven by top swims so far, the strong mid-season taper meets from each of those schools push them up the rankings. Check out the site for the full rankings and team rosters:
Womens Rankings
The national title looks like it is mostly a two-horse race between Kenyon and Emory with Dennison still lurking in the background. Notable drop offs from last year on the women’s side include Williams, the second place finisher, and Bates, last year’s 13th place finisher. Partially, these are driven by lack of a mid season taper by these teams, those strong graduating senior classes also contributed.

Men’s Rankings
The men’s side looks to be tighter this year than on the women’s side. Six teams are currently listed with over a 5% chance of winning. Dennison and Kenyon lead the rankings as they have in many years past. Emory looks to have taken a small step down from last year’s victory due to their top swimmer, Andrew Wilson‘s, graduation. The NCAC and UAA conference meets are both shaping up to be particularly competitive this year.
