The age group events were amazing

I was thinking of driving over to Irvine to catch some of this meet, looks like some good races. But I noticed in the psych sheets that there are age group events scattered throughout the open events. Do we have to sit through age group finals mixed in during evening finals as well??

The age group events are prelims finals as well and are stuck in between the open events.
So yes you would have to sit through them.
This being said, all those age group swimmers are the fastest 7-12 year olds in southern California and it’s amazing to watch how fast they can go at such a young age.

I think it can be the year of Miss DiRado.
I can’t wait to watch her swim the 400 IM next summer.

I see the name of Santo Condorelli in the psych sheets.
22.32 and 49.38 last year with Bolles.
It will be interesting to see if he can swim faster this year after one year of college.
He wasn’t crazy fast with USC at NCAA’s.

Also plenty of California swimmers who swam at their high school championships last weekend like Weitzeil or Okubo.
